«Rhythms. Images of Working Women explores, by way of a selection of materials from the Museo Reina Sofía Library and Documentation Centre, the changes and continuities which brought women’s work and identity together before, during and after the Spanish Civil War. The exhibition sets forth a journey which seeks to render the power of images of working women in shaping individual and collective subjectivity and is completed with the presentation of an unreleased audiovisual production, made by Julia Montilla, which examines part of the research conducted.

The show is an exhibition of paper, and on paper, which surveys the documentary work of the curators — a process by which the gestures of women’s work, and its rhythms and repetitions, have been updated in their own bodies. Along this same line, the choice of materials — and the way they are gathered — reflects the importance of their varied objectual condition in the research; equally, it reveals the researchers’ relationship with the images found in the library holdings: encounters, surprises, serendipities, certainties, anachronisms and doubts. As a result, a survey is established around the processes and forms of thought, granting them a key role in constructing knowledge and the story they wish to tell». Saiba mais.

Ao mesmo tempo, naturalmente, com este post, queremos divulgar a Exposição do Museu Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia onde as «mulheres» tem espaço regular que é sempre fonte de conhecimento mesmo que à «distância», e, uma vez mais, lembrarmos que na esfera institucional muito há a fazer no nosso País para nos beneficiarmos  com a força da cultura e das artes em proveito das igualdades. Já alguém viu no processo eleitoral em curso debater estas matérias? Por outro lado, a ainda Senhora Ministra da Cultura continua no seu afã de fazer prova de vida, a dizer-nos da sua «opinião» - repetindo-se, repetindo-se -  mas não nos falando sobre programas que o Ministério da Cultura devia impulsionar em torno da igualdade de género nomeadamente no setor - de forma permanente, continuada, sistemática. No entanto a Senhora Governante ainda no mais recente artigo que lemos, em modo professora,  escreve isto: «(...)  Os diferentes patrimónios acumulados – não apenas monumentos, objetos, artefactos, modos de fazer, mas também textos, imagens, músicas, danças... – ganham novos significados neste processo, nas sucessivas apropriações e reinterpretações, ou seja: os legados que herdámos e que nos cabe preservar assumem uma dimensão contemporânea quando sujeitos à apropriação e à interrogação teórica do presente. (...)». Pois é, a um/a Governante, mais do que «palavras», «opinião», exige-se ação. E para o caso  a Senhora Ministra no seu périplo de entrevistas/artigos até reconhece a desigualdade entre homens e mulheres..., mas depois, «nada».  Bom, nesta «despedida» recuperemos de post passado, continuando com Espanha, isto:

Presentación del Plan de Igualdad en la Cultura 2024- 2026, celebrada el 11 de diciembre de 2024 en el Auditorio Jorge Semprún del Ministerio de Cultura en Madrid. Participan en la presentación Ernest Urtasun, ministro de Cultura, Jazmín Beirak, directora general de Derechos Culturales, Irene García Rubio, perteneciente a Pandora Mirabilia y Guadalupe Balaguer, presidenta de CIMA.
